Overview
The Easter Bunny 5K is one of the Long Island Road Runners Club’s annual holiday races, and it’s got the relaxed, community feel that all LIRRC events tend to have. It runs Easter Sunday morning at Eisenhower Park, which makes it a nice way to start the holiday before whatever family commitments come later in the day.
The course is the same flat, fast USATF certified loop that LIRRC uses for all their Eisenhower Park races. If you’ve run any of their Wednesday Night Series races or other club events, you know exactly what to expect. The field is a mix of club members, local runners, and families. The Kids Fun Run kicks off at 8:30 and the main 5K goes at 9:00, so it wraps up early enough to still make Easter brunch.
Pricing is LIRRC-style, meaning it’s very reasonable, and members get a further discount. It’s a good entry point for the LIRRC race calendar if you haven’t tried one of their events yet.
