Overview
The OMAC May Day 5K takes place at Main Beach in East Hampton, one of the more scenic race settings you’ll find on Long Island. Main Beach is a wide open Atlantic-facing beach, and a morning 5K there in early May has a certain quality to it β the season hasn’t started yet, the crowds aren’t there, and the backdrop is genuinely worth the drive out to the South Fork.
The race benefits The Tyler Project in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, which gives it some real purpose. OMAC puts on a straightforward, well-run event: awards ceremony, music, refreshments, live results, and free finish line photos. T-shirts are included but only guaranteed to the first 400 runners who pick up their packet, so if you want yours, get there early or pick up the night before.
Age group awards go three deep for both men and women across eight age groups. Overall awards recognize the top male and female finisher. Free parking is available at the venue.
