Overview
Run for Caumsett takes place inside Caumsett State Historic Park Preserve in Lloyd Harbor, one of the most scenic and undervisited parks on Long Island’s North Shore. The park sits on a protected stretch of the Lloyd Neck peninsula and covers over 1,520 acres of fields, forests, and coastline. Running here feels different from a road race β it’s quiet, green, and genuinely worth the drive out even if you’re not racing.
The event is organized by The Caumsett Foundation, which supports the preservation and programming of the park. Park entry fees are waived for all race entrants. Post-race includes refreshments, sponsor tables, and nutrition stations. Awards cover age groups and overall race winners.
Course details aren’t published yet on the registration page, but Caumsett’s terrain is characteristically rolling with a mix of road and trail surfaces typical of a historic estate park. Expect some hills and a more natural surface underfoot than your average road 5K.
