Overview
The Total Empower 5K is a community wellness race at Cedar Creek Park in Seaford, presented by Total Physical Therapy, Total Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, and Total Wellness β three organizations whose whole business is helping people move better and recover stronger. The event reflects that philosophy: it’s explicitly inclusive, framed around personal progress rather than competition, and designed to welcome runners at every level from first-timers to people chasing a PR.
The course is five loops around Field 6, starting on the sand. It benefits Paws of War, which trains and places service dogs with veterans and first responders dealing with physical injuries, PTSD, and other service-related challenges. It’s a cause that fits the event’s broader theme of empowerment and forward momentum.
Free Kids Run at 8:30, main 5K at 9:00. Top 3 M/F overall and top 1 M/F in each age group get recognized. If you’re in the Seaford or South Shore Nassau area and looking for a welcoming spring 5K with a genuine wellness focus, this one is worth checking out.
