Overview

Overview
The US Coffee 4 Mile is a charity run along the Long Beach Boardwalk benefiting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, specifically Team McIntyre. US Coffee, the local sponsor, donates all proceeds to LLS cancer research, so this one has a clear and genuine purpose behind it.

The course runs the length of the Long Beach Boardwalk out and back, which makes it about as flat and scenic as a road race gets on Long Island. Ocean on one side, the city on the other, and a completely flat surface the whole way. The Kids Half Mile kicks off at 9 AM and the main 4 Mile goes at 9:30. Awards go to the top male and female finishers overall, plus the top Long Beach resident in each category.

This is a comfortable race for all levels. The boardwalk surface is easy on your legs, the distance is accessible, and the setting is genuinely enjoyable. If you’ve never raced in Long Beach, the boardwalk is one of the better race venues on Long Island.
